These gorgeous Butterfly Earrings are handmade with solid 925 Sterling Silver and gorgeous deep red genuine Garnets.
Each earring has polished round Garnets (2 x 4mm and 1 x 5mm), accented with daisy beads and elaborately detailed, antiqued Sterling Silver Butterflies.
I chose Garnets that have a pinkish hue to the dark red color, they look so much more beautiful than the common brownish Garnets.

Butterflies are incredible, not only are they beautiful, ethereal creatures, but they symbolize transformation & hope, and they also have special spiritual meaning for me.
Garnets are a deep red, they appear dark, but they are translucent and in bright light, like sunshine, they radiate a brilliant pinkish, red glow.
I used solid 925 Sterling Silver wire to wrap the red gemstones and the earrings dangle from elegant french style earring hooks, but you can order your favorite earring style: French Hooks (also called Fish Hook or Sheppard Hook), Hand Forged French style earring hooks, Leaver Back style or Posts.
Garnets are very special gemstones, used in jewellery for thousands of years. The color usually represents blood or life. Ancient Christian jewellery was embellished with Garnets to represent Jesus' blood.

- I am an Eco Conscious artist, I love nature, so I go out of my way to create my jewellery with the most Earth Friendly methods of construction possible.
- Many pieces are created with Eco Friendly, Sustainable, Upcycled, Repurposed, Pre-loved Vintage Gemstones, broken jewellery materials, and found items like local beach glass.
- I create every piece by hand,
using mainly hand tools, natural light whenever possible and non toxic polishes and glues, etc with rare exceptions. I use many things from my kitchen to clean, polish and oxidize my jewellery.
- I use Eco Friendly, Sustainable packaging and shipping materials and we usually walk to the post office or take public transit to ship packages, further reducing my carbon footprint.
