Sterling Silver Beaded Garnet Pearl Lariat Joy Necklace

     This is an incredibly special one of a kind necklace made with genuine Garnets and hand forged, Upcycled/ Repurposed Sterling Silver combined with some new Sterling Silver wire and a luminous large Freshwater Cultured Pearl.

    I created a Lavalier style pendant with a nature inspired design using a some Upcycled Vintage Sterling Silver and vintage restored sterling silver chain. I hand forged the silver into an organic looking pendant, drilled with holes to drape the restored vintage Sterling Silver chain and dangles made with round, polished Garnets (4mm to 4.5 round), and a white Freshwater Cultured Pearl accented with Celtic style coils and more Celtic stye coils decorate the tope of the pendant.

    The garnets are a dark deep rich pink red color, when light shines through the stones they glow with a lovely deep berry color, they are stunning.

      The vintage chain forms and elegant swag that hangs below the pearl. The effect is like a waterfall, with free movement, like water. This is called a lariat style necklace, but, instead a chain, I created a long stream of beaded, polished irregular shaped genuine Garnets.

     The beads are strung on extra strong, flexible, gem quality, nylon coated stainless steel beading wire.  The ends of the necklace have beaded wire wrapped ends, with a long 2” extension chain finished with a Garnet dangle. The necklace fastens with a lobster claw clasp.

   The necklace is adjustable, it measures (39.4cm) 15 1/4” long, plus a (5cm) 2” Extension chain. You can wear it as a choker or wear it longer with the extension chain.

     Transformation is a major theme and inspiration in my work, taking something old, broken or discarded and creating something new, beautiful, and valuable.

     It brings me peace and immense joy to create Sustainable, Eco Friendlier jewellery by Upcycling and Re-purposing old, vintage, broken Sterling Silver and gemstones whenever possible, transforming them into new creations, giving them new life to be worn and loved for many years.

-Pearl is the traditional June Birthstone and Pearl was a common February birthstone used in the 15th century Pearl is also the Tibetan November birthstone
