Peaceful Green Leaf Freshwater Sea Glass / Beach Glass Pendant

     Eco Friendly green Sea Glass leaf like pendant made with Beach Glass / Freshwater Sea Glass with decorative Celtic inspired Sterling Silver wire work design.

    This gorgeous green leaf like shape freshwater Sea Glass cam from a local bead on Lake Ontario near my home in Port Credit, Ontario.  

      I used Sterling Silver wire to wrap a water inspired design around the glass and create a bail on top. The pendant dangles rom a high a high quality, Rollo style, Sterling Silver chain. This necklace fastens with a spring ring clasp.

       If you love the beach or nature inspired jewellery, you will love this leaf like pendant, the color is wonderful to wear with many out fits and you can wear it for any occasion and anyway.

     I wrapped this lovely green glass with a single piece of Sterling Silver wire to create a playful little pendant. The single piece of wire represents the movement of water, never ending waves around the glass.

      Beach Glass and Sea Glass represent transformation and renewal.

      I feel a sense of peace when I can repurpose and old discarded piece of broken glass that has been beautifully transformed by nature into a satiny smooth treasure.

      I use the glass just as I find it on the beach, it has not been drilled, polished, or altered in anyway. I wrap the beach glass with wire to create designs that represent the movement of the water, with swirls and curls like waves.

    Beach Glass is also called Sea glass, but true Sea Glass comes from the ocean (salt water) and Beach Glass is found on the shores of freshwater bodies of water, like this glass from Lake Ontario.

    The glass forms a smooth satin, frosted finish after being tossed around in the water, tumbling against rocks and things, for many years. The process takes much longer in the lake compared to the huge ocean waves and salty water; therefore, the full frosted beach glass is rarer.

   Beach glass is an Eco Friendly, Sustainable Alternative to Gemstones, the green is a wonderful Ethical alternative Birthstone color for May or August.
