This is a gorgeous Handmade Moonstone beaded stacking bracelet created with Genuine Rainbow Moonstone and solid Sterling Silver.
The high quality, natural 4mm round Moonstones are wonderful, some translucent and some more milky white with blue flashes of color.
This beaded, minimalist stye, handmade bracelet fastens with a secure lobster claw clasp and has a 1" extension chain plus an added little Sterling Silver Star pendant dangling on the end.
This bracelet is made to last; it can be worn daily because these luminous Gemstones are strung on gem quality, strong, flexible, 49 strand nylon coated Stainless Steel beading wire, the ends are finished with Sterling Silver crimps, crimp covers and wire guards, then attached to the lobster caw clasp and extension chain.
Rainbow Moonstone is a milky white or more transparent stone, some have little flashes of blue color. This effect is called the schiller (adularescence), this occurs as light is refracted between layers in the stone. Some stones have flashes and others have none.
Rainbow Moonstone is delicate, a type of Feldspar similar to Labradorite. It ranks 6 to 6.5 on the Mohs hardness scale.
Moonstone got its name from ancient legends and folklore. People believed that moonbeams were trapped inside the stones. The Romans believed that moonbeams were frozen in the stones, other cultures believed the stones were created by the moon.
I love the more opaque, milky white stones because they remind me of the moon. I love to stare at the moon as it illuminates the night sky, making me aware of the immense, limitless universe God created and it reminds me that Anything’s Possible if we Believe.
