Long Ruby Emerald Peace Basket Necklace

     I created this stunning, one of a kind Sterling Silver & Gemstone Necklace with Rubies, Emeralds and mainly Upcycled / Repurposed Sterling Silver 

     I shaped a piece of Vintage Sterling Silver into a curved basket shape pendant ((7.9cm) 3 1/8” at widest point), wrapped with Sterling Silver wire and 4mm round Rubies and Emeralds, alternating  along the curved tube shape.

     I wire wrapped more Rubies and Emeralds with textured Sterling Silver beads to Vintage fancy rope style Sterling Silver chain to crate a long necklace (27 1/8” long) that fastens with a spring ring clasp.

     This one of a kind necklace has 14 x 4mm Rubies (enhanced), 13 x 4mm Emeralds (enhanced), 24 x 4mm textured sterling beads, vintage chain, and a spring ring clasp.

     I was inspired by the idea of a gemstone basket of Joy and the long chain with more Rubies and Emerald as arms handing the basket to someone.

     Transformation is a major theme and inspiration in my work, taking something old, broken or discarded and creating something new, beautiful and valuable.

ONE OF A KIND Necklace

SUSTAINABLE & Eco Friendlier: I created this pendant with mainly Upcycled Vintage Sterling Silver metal, chain and clasp as well as new Sterling Silver wire. I used hand tools and the most earth friendly methods of construction possible. I purchased my materials locally in Canada. This pendant necklace is made to last a lifetime with care.
