Long Blue Leaf Cluster Earrings

I created these stunning, one of a kind tassel earrings with luminous blue glass leaves and lavender glass beads on Upcycled / Repurposed Vintage Sterling Silver chain.
I wire wrapped 6 x 12mm long Czech pressed glass leaves (blue with an aurora borealis finish that make makes them glow almost like opals) and 6 x 4mm translucent lavender round faceted Czech Fire Polished glass beads to create a cluster / tassel of luminous color. The graduated lengths of chain and beads make them look like a cluster style as well as a tassel style.
The blue earrings dangle from French style earring hooks.
Imagine walking through an ancient forest and finding a tree covered in glistening blue opal leaves and lavender berries, glistening as the leaver flutter in the breeze.
Transformation is a major theme and inspiration in my work. I love to create Sustainable, Ethical jewellery by Upcycling / Re-purposing old Vintage Gemstones, Glass, Silver, Metals, beads, broken Vintage jewellery and more. It brings me peace to work with these Eco Friendlier materials and great joy to transform them into new creations, heirloom jewellery to be worn and loved for many years.

- I am an Eco Conscious artist, I love nature, so I go out of my way to create my jewellery with the most Earth Friendly methods of construction possible.
- Many pieces are created with Eco Friendly, Sustainable, Upcycled, Repurposed, Pre-loved Vintage Gemstones, broken jewellery materials, and found items like local beach glass.
- I create every piece by hand,
using mainly hand tools, natural light whenever possible and non toxic polishes and glues, etc with rare exceptions. I use many things from my kitchen to clean, polish and oxidize my jewellery.
- I use Eco Friendly, Sustainable packaging and shipping materials and we usually walk to the post office or take public transit to ship packages, further reducing my carbon footprint.
