Eco friendlier Long gold tassel earrings made with Upcycled Vintage 1930’s Art Deco Faux Pearl, long strands of Upcycled Vintage gold tone chain embellished with dangling faceted gold crystals.
The high quality, genuine Vintage Pearls (8mm) are stunning, rescued from an old Art Deco necklace. They look fantastic with gold plated, filigree metal caps (made in Czech Republic) and sparkly gold crystals. I created the tassel with six strands of chain embellished with 14 dangling crystal beads.
The crystals dangle on 18k gold plated metal pins and the large filigree bead cap on top of the tassel is also 18k gold plated.
I used warmer color, solid brass wire with a tarnish resistant, clear baked on coating to create the French style (fish hook) earring wires.

Transformation is a major theme and inspiration in my work. I love to create Eco Friendlier jewellery with Sustainable materials like Upcycled, Repurposed old broken Vintage Jewellery, Vintage Gemstones, Pearls, Glass, Crystal, Silver, Copper, Brass as well as found objects like Beach Glass, shells, and pebbles, etc. I feel peace, joy and a great sense of satisfaction transforming these old materials into new creations, to be worn, loved, and enjoyed for many, many years.

- I am an Eco Conscious artist, I love nature, so I go out of my way to create my jewellery with the most Earth Friendly methods of construction possible.
- Many pieces are created with Eco Friendly, Sustainable, Upcycled, Repurposed, Pre-loved Vintage Gemstones, broken jewellery materials, and found items like local beach glass.
- I create every piece by hand,
using mainly hand tools, natural light whenever possible and non toxic polishes and glues, etc with rare exceptions. I use many things from my kitchen to clean, polish and oxidize my jewellery.
- I use Eco Friendly, Sustainable packaging and shipping materials and we usually walk to the post office or take public transit to ship packages, further reducing my carbon footprint.
