Long elegant, Art Deco inspired Garnet dangle earrings made with rich red genuine garnets. Three round polished Garnets, graduate from the smallest to larger on the base. Each stone is accented with little 3mm Sterling Silver beads. The Garnets graduate in size from smaller to larger on the base (4mm, 5mm and 6mm).
The earrings are photographed on French style earring hooks, but you can choose your favorite style: French Hooks (also called Sheppard Hooks), Post or extra secure Lever Back style.
I chose high quality Garnets, as translucent as possible in a deep red color with a pinkish hue, the pinker color Garnets are stunning compared to the common brownish color stones.
There are many species of Garnets and come in many colors, the most common is deep red with a brownish hue called the Almandine variety, the pink to purple translucent Garnet is called Pyrope.
Garnets are very special gemstones, used in jewellery for thousands of years. The color usually represents blood or life. Ancient Christian jewellery was embellished with Garnets to represent Jesus blood.

BIRTHSTONE: Garnet is the traditional and ancient January Birthstone. Pinkish color Garnets are wonderful Ruby alternatives for a July Birthstone.

- I am an Eco Conscious artist, I love nature, so I go out of my way to create my jewellery with the most Earth Friendly methods of construction possible.
- Many pieces are created with Eco Friendly, Sustainable, Upcycled, Repurposed, Pre-loved Vintage Gemstones, broken jewellery materials, and found items like local beach glass.
- I create every piece by hand,
using mainly hand tools, natural light whenever possible and non toxic polishes and glues, etc with rare exceptions. I use many things from my kitchen to clean, polish and oxidize my jewellery.
- I use Eco Friendly, Sustainable packaging and shipping materials and we usually walk to the post office or take public transit to ship packages, further reducing my carbon footprint.
