This is an incredibly special one of a kind necklace made with genuine Garnets and hand forged, Upcycled/ Repurposed Sterling Silver and some new Sterling Silver wire.
I took a piece of Vintage Sterling Silver and hand forged into an organic looking pendant, drilled with holes to drape the restored vintage Sterling Silver chain and dangles made with round, polished Garnets (4mm to 4.5 round), and a Vintage Tibetan bead with red and green enamel (8mm). The chain forms and elegant swag that hangs below the Decorative bead. The effect is like a waterfall, with free movement, like water.
The pendant sits in the middle of a long stream of beaded, polished irregular shaped genuine Garnets.
The beads are strung on extra strong, flexible, Gem quality, nylon coated stainless steel beading wire. The ends of the necklace have beaded wire wrapped ends, with a 2” extension chain that has a Garnet dangle. The necklace fastens with a lobster claw clasp.
The necklace is adjustable, it measures (39.4cm) 15 1/4” long, plus a (5cm) 2” Extension chain. You can wear it as a choker or wear it longer with the extension chain.
The Garnets are a deep red with a pink hue.
Transformation is a major theme and inspiration in my work. I love to create Eco Friendlier jewellery by Upcycling and Re-purposing old Silver and Vintage Gemstones, etc., It brings me peace to work with more Ethical, Sustainable materials and immense joy to transform them into new creations, heirloom jewellery to be worn and loved for many years.

using mainly hand tools, natural light whenever possible and non toxic polishes and glues, etc with rare exceptions. I use many things from my kitchen to clean, polish and oxidize my jewellery.
- I use Eco Friendly, Sustainable packaging and shipping materials and we usually walk to the post office or take public transit to ship packages, further reducing my carbon footprint.
