This is a very special Pendant necklace made with a gorgeous piece of intense emerald, green colored Lake Ontario Glass, also called Sea Glass or Beach Glass.
The rare Lake Glass or Sea Glass is polished naturally over many years of being tossed to and fro in the waves of the mighty Lake Ontario. The smooth mat finish is like satin, so smooth. I have no idea how old the glass is, but it’s fun to imagine its origins and travels.
I found this piece of glass while walking on the beach here in Port Credit, Ontario. It looked like an emerald in the sand, so pretty.
This Green Necklace is Eco Friendlier, the glass found on the beach, polished by nature, wire wrapped in an eco-friendly atmosphere and made with love.
I used a single strand of sterling silver wire to wrap the pendant and it dangles on a 20” (51cm) Sterling Silver chain (fancy rope style chain finished with a spring ring clasp)
This is a wonderful necklace to wear for any occasion, it’s the perfect gift for someone who loves hand crafted, one of a kind jewellery, someone who lives a “Green Lifestyle” for anyone who cares about the environment and for someone who wants to wear truly Canadian jewellery, wearable art!

MATERIALS: Sterling Silver, Green Lake Ontario Glass (naturally polished in the lake)
MEASUREMENTS: 20” Chain, Pendant measures 23mm long from top of bail to base of glass and the glass at widest point is 23mm wide.

using mainly hand tools, natural light whenever possible and non toxic polishes and glues, etc with rare exceptions. I use many things from my kitchen to clean, polish and oxidize my jewellery.
- I use Eco Friendly, Sustainable packaging and shipping materials and we usually walk to the post office or take public transit to ship packages, further reducing my carbon footprint.
