I created these stunning black pearl Elephant earrings with 8mm potato shaped black pearls with a purple, blue hue, also called Peacock pearls. Each Freshwater Cultured Peacock pearl is decoratively wire wrapped, like two arms hugging the pearls, they I dangled gorgeous three-dimensional puffy elephant pendant below.
The elephant pendants (15mm wide) are hollow, so they are very light, and the earring are comfortable and easy to wear for everyday.
The Earrings dangle from French style earring wires. You can also order French (fish hook) style earring wires, Leaver Backs or Posts.
I love Pearls because they are so luxurious, they not only look beautiful, but, they feel wonderful. Peals are comfortable to wear, and they look better the more you wear them. Pearls absorb the natural oils from you skin, the oils enrich the luster and preserve the luminous finish.
Pearls are full of symbolism, they represent transformation, royalty and wealth. Imagine how tiny piece of sand gets trapped inside a mollusk (oyster and commonly mussels) and irritates it, then then the oyster releases a substance that coats the piece of sand and eventually forms a smooth, beautiful pearl. It's amazing how something that was once an irritant can become a beautiful and precious Gem.

- Many pieces are created with Eco Friendly, Sustainable, Upcycled, Repurposed, Pre-loved Vintage Gemstones, broken jewellery materials, and found items like local beach glass.
- I create every piece by hand,
using mainly hand tools, natural light whenever possible and non toxic polishes and glues, etc with rare exceptions. I use many things from my kitchen to clean, polish and oxidize my jewellery.
- I use Eco Friendly, Sustainable packaging and shipping materials and we usually walk to the post office or take public transit to ship packages, further reducing my carbon footprint.
