This necklace is made with Vintage and new Garnets, new Rainbow Moonstone, Upcycled Vintage and new Sterling Silver.
I Upcycled a piece of Vintage Sterling Silver set with a Garnet cabochon and wire wrapped it with Rainbow Moonstone and Garnets.
Garnets have been used to represent blood or the life in blood for thousands of years and the Rainbows represent hope.
The contrast of the deep red and milky white with blue flashes is stunning. The gorgeous pendant sits in the center of a long stream of beaded 4mm round, highly polished genuine Garnets.
The beads are strung on extra strong, flexible, Gem quality, nylon coated stainless steel beading wire.
The pendant with its decorative bail, and it measures (5.3cm) 2.1/16” long.
The necklace has a long back chain with Garnet dangle, making this necklace adjustable. It fastens with a lobster claw clasp.
The Garnets are a deep red with a pink hue.
I wanted to combine a message life and hope to create this joyful necklace.
Transformation is a major theme and inspiration in my work. I love to create Eco Friendlier jewellery by Upcycling and Re-purposing old Silver and Vintage Gemstones, etc., It brings me peace to work with more Ethical, Sustainable materials and immense joy to transform them into new creations, heirloom jewellery to be worn and loved for many years.

- I am an Eco Conscious artist, I love nature, so I go out of my way to create my jewellery with the most Earth Friendly methods of construction possible.
- Many pieces are created with Eco Friendly, Sustainable, Upcycled, Repurposed, Pre-loved Vintage Gemstones, broken jewellery materials, and found items like local beach glass.
- I create every piece by hand,
using mainly hand tools, natural light whenever possible and non toxic polishes and glues, etc with rare exceptions. I use many things from my kitchen to clean, polish and oxidize my jewellery.
- I use Eco Friendly, Sustainable packaging and shipping materials and we usually walk to the post office or take public transit to ship packages, further reducing my carbon footprint.
