Boho Chic Long Coin Pearl Earrings made with a long stream of Vintage gold tone Coins (10mm) shining above a stunning European, glass based, drop shaped pearl (18mm x 11mm), accented on top with decorative, openwork gold plated filigree metal cap.
I created hand forged solid Brass, French style (fish hook) earring wires.
You can also order 14k Gold Filled earring wires.
The high-quality glass based European pearls are drop shaped and slightly cream color. I purchased them about 20 years ago and kept them for something special and these earrings are very special. I can only make two pairs, so they are a limited-edition design.
I used warmer color, solid brass wire with a tarnish resistant, clear baked on coating. The coating will keep it shinny and clean a long time, but, if it wears off over time, you will be able to polish the brass again.
Transformation is a major theme and inspiration in my work. I love to create Eco Friendlier jewellery with Sustainable materials like Upcycled, Repurposed old broken Vintage Jewellery, Vintage Gemstones, Pearls, Glass, Crystal, Silver, Copper, Brass as well as found objects like Beach Glass, shells, and pebbles, etc. I feel peace, joy and a great sense of satisfaction transforming these old materials into new creations, to be worn, loved, and enjoyed for many, many years.
