Dolphin, Shell Green Beach Glass Pendant Necklace -Freshwater Sea Glass

  I found this satin green piece of beach glass while walking in the sunshine along the beach near my home, along the shore of Lake Ontario.  

     Beach Glass is often called Sea Glass, but freshwater beach glass is even more special than Sea Glass in my opinion, it is rarer, and it can take longer to naturally polish in the surf, least 50 years or more for the glass to achieve the smooth satin finish. I don’t polish the glass, this is naturally surf tumbled glass.

   I love the movement of water, it makes me feel alive, so each piece makes me think of the water, the beautiful lake, the fun of finding it on the beach.  Each piece I find is a precious treasure to me, something I want to share with others who hopefully feel the same joy when they see it and hold it. 

   I wrapped the green glass with a single piece of Sterling Silver wire to create a playful pendant (3cmm wide x 27mm long). The single piece of wire represents the movement of water, never ending, like waves around the glass.

   A gorgeous three-dimensional Dolphin pendant (14mm long) dangles on one side of the Beach Glass pendant and on the other side is a detailed Seashell pendant (12mm).

   The three pendants dangle on a sturdy Rollo style chain or Fancy Rope chain as in the photo’s.
