One of a kind pendant made with Eco Friendlier Upcycled and new Sterling Silver, Amethyst, and Canadian Jade (BC Jade).
A long pendant with a flower design wrapped around the top of a large translucent purple Amethyst stone, on top of the floral design, I wrapped 7 x 4 mm round polished Green Canadian Jade (Nephrite Jade) and 2 x 4mm round faceted Amethyst stones.
I upcycled a floral element from a vintage Bond Boyd Sterling Silver screw back earring, then reshaped it and wrapped it with the Jade and Amethyst beads. The vintage earrings was made with Rhodium plated Sterling Silver and the New Sterling Silver is not plated.
The pendant dangles from a ring bail.
The chain is a rolo style Italian Sterling Silver chain.
Transformation is a major theme and inspiration in my work. I love to create Eco Friendlier jewellery by Upcycling and Re-purposing old Silver and Vintage Gemstones, etc., It brings me peace to work with more Ethical, Sustainable materials and immense joy to transform them into new creations, heirloom jewellery to be worn and loved for many years.

- I am an Eco Conscious artist, I love nature, so I go out of my way to create my jewellery with the most Earth Friendly methods of construction possible.
- Many pieces are created with Eco Friendly, Sustainable, Upcycled, Repurposed, Pre-loved Vintage Gemstones, broken jewellery materials, and found items like local beach glass.
- I create every piece by hand,
using mainly hand tools, natural light whenever possible and non toxic polishes and glues, etc with rare exceptions. I use many things from my kitchen to clean, polish and oxidize my jewellery.
- I use Eco Friendly, Sustainable packaging and shipping materials and we usually walk to the post office or take public transit to ship packages, further reducing my carbon footprint.
