Vintage Sparkly Sapphire Pearl in Earrings

   I created these stunning, one of a kind earrings with a pair of Sparkly blue stones, small oval shaped cabochons that looks like gold stone with a star sapphire effect (8mm x 5mm). I am not sure exactly how old they are, but they are in their original Gold filled filigree settings.

   I used 14k Gold Filled wire and luminous white pearls to create a pair of long earrings on hand shaped French style earring wires.

   The white pearls are AA quality, large round (almost round) Freshwater Cultured Pearl (9mm wide) above the sparkly man made sparkly blue stones and then I dangled a small drop shaped Freshwater Cultured Pearl (7mm long) on the base.

   These stunning blue and white earrings are more eco friendly and ethical made with upcycled / repurposed vintage, man made stones.

    Transformation is a major theme and inspiration in my work. I love to create Eco Friendlier jewellery by Up-cycling / Re-purposing old Vintage Gemstones, metals, beads, broken jewellery, etc., It brings me peace to work with more Ethical materials and great joy to transform them into new creations, heirloom jewellery to be worn and loved for many years.

     I use the highest quality new 1/20 14K G.F. metal. Gold Filled metal is the next best thing to solid gold! Gold Filled is not the same as gold plated. A thick 1/20th layer of Gold, usually 12K to 14K Gold is permanently bonded with heat and pressure to a base metal, usually jewelers’ brass (sterling silver was sometimes used in vintage jewellery). Gold filled jewellery is easy to care for and can last a lifetime!

MEASUREMENTS:  Earring’s measure (4cm) 1 11/16” from the base of the earring wires and the earring wires. The total length with earring wires measure (5.3cm) 2 1/16” long.
