Turquoise Sky and Pearl Clouds Necklace

  I created this stunning, one of a kind, handcrafted “Y” style necklace while sitting in the sunshine. The blue sky looked a little turquoise and the fluffy white clouds floating above inspired me to use one of my favourite combinations: Turquoise and white Freshwater Culture Pearls. I love the contrast and harmony of Turquoise and pearls, both are pours, warm and so beautiful.

   I used 925 Sterling Silver wire to decoratively wrap the Turquoise (one round and one oval with two round pearls) and Peals to create the centre strand that dangles down the centre to create a Y style necklace.

    The beaded strand that floats around the neck is made of Large oval shaped Turquoise stone beads (20mm long) accented with Vintage half round White Freshwater Cultured Pearls and Large Round textured baroque White Freshwater Cultured Pearls (9-10mm). The unusual shaped baroque peals add to the organic look that work with Turquoise and tiny the tinny opaque turquoise, Czech glass seed beads (in the same colour as the Turquoise stone beads) gives this necklace a light Boho looks even though the stones and pearls are large.   I finished the necklace with an easy to use, sturdy spring ring clasp.

  This bohemian style beaded gemstone necklace is strung on high quality, flexible, strong 49 strand nylon coated stainless steel beaded wire.

   I love to Up cycle / Recycled Vintage Pearls and gemstones as much as possible to create Fair Trade jewellery that is better or our environment.

Measurements: Necklace measures (47cm) 18 ½” long and the centre of the Y necklace drops (7.5cm) 3” long, but, it can be shortened.
