My Long Feather Earrings are made with luminous round, almost disk shaped Upcycled, Vintage Pink Shells, wire wrapped with antique brass finished (copper base) wire to create a lovely coil design that represents eternal life. A three dimensional antiqued brass Feather, dangles from the base of the wire work design. The dangling Feather represents freedom as it dangles.
The earrings dangle on French (fish hook) style earring wires, but you can order Leaver Back hooks.
The Antiqued Brass metal adds warmth and a rich Vintage look to my jewellery as well as adding an earthy look to stones and other organic materials. The darker metal accentuates colors and textures. You will notice pearls shine and crystal seems to sparkle more. The darker metal is easy to care for, you don't have to worry about it tarnishing so you can wear and enjoy it for many years. My designs are unique and timeless, they won't go out of style, sure to become heirloom jewellery.
Transformation is a major theme and inspiration in my work. I love to create Eco Friendlier jewellery with Sustainable materials, by Upcycling / Re-purposing old Vintage Gemstones, Pearls, Glass, Crystal, Silver, Copper, Brass, Beach Glass, broken jewellery and more. I feel peace working with these more Ethical materials and I get a great sense of satisfaction and joy transforming these old treasures into new creations, to be worn and loved for many years, sure to become heirloom jewellery
Pink is the traditional October birth month color.
