My handmade, Vintage Inspired Pearl earrings are very special, they are long, Art Deco style earrings made with Upcycled Vintage and new Sterling Silver featuring white Freshwater Cultured pearls.
I used two pieces of Sterling Silver from an old 1920’s necklace, combined with new Sterling Silver. I matched a pair of luminous, almost round, white, freshwater cultured pearls (7mm) and accented them with fancy daisy beads, combined with the openwork vintage Sterling Silver and created playful clusters of small pearls (oval shaped 4mm).
These one of a kind earrings are long and lightweight, very comfortable, perfect for any occasion and everyday.
Pearls are luxurious, they look and feel wonderful, they are satiny smooth and comfortable to wear against the skin. Pearls look better the more you wear them because they absorb the natural oils from you skin, preserving them and enriching their luster.
Pearls are full of symbolism; they represent royalty and wealth as well as Transformation and Hope. Imagine how tiny piece of sand gets trapped inside a mollusk (oyster and commonly mussels) and irritates it, then then the oyster releases a substance that coats the piece of sand and eventually forms a smooth, beautiful pearl. It's amazing how something that was once an irritant can become a precious Gem.
These vintage inspired, pearl earrings will also be loved by an Eco Conscious bride, the Upcycled, Repurposed silver makes them more Eco Friendly, Sustainable, and more Ethical. Perfect for an Eco-friendly wedding.
