Feather Aqua Blue Beach Glass Pendant, Psalm 91

  This is a very special, one of a kind Nature Inspired feather pendant made with solid Sterling Silver and a rare piece of pale aqua blue beach glass from a local beach here on Lake Ontario, Canada. 

     I wrapped a detailed Feather to the blue beach glass with a single piece of wire to represent the movement of water, with swirls and coils like eternal waves of water around the glass.

    The feather pendant (3.6cm x 11mm) dangles on a high quality, Italian, diamond cut Rollo style, 925 Sterling Silver chain. The necklace fastens with a spring ring clasp.

      I created this stunning, one-of-a-kind lake glass / sea glass pendant with solid 925 Sterling Silver and genuine Lake Ontario Beach Glass, Sea Glass.

   The pendants dangles on a Sterling Silver Rollo style chain (high quality made in Italy), fastened with a spring ring clasp.

    It is very rare to find a piece of aqua blue glass on the beach here on Lake Ontario, it’s like finding a gem in the sand, they are just as precious to me.

   I used a single piece of wire to wrap each pendant, to represent the movement of water, with swirls and coils like eternal waves of water around the glass.

    I feel a sense of peace and joy when I can repurpose something that was once a discarded piece of broken glass that has been beautifully transformed by nature into a satiny smooth treasure. 

     I used the glass just as I found it on the beach. I did not drill or alter it anyway. The glass was naturally polished in the lake, tossed back and forward in the waves. 

  Beach Glass is also called Sea glass, but Sea Glass comes from the ocean or sea and Beach Glass comes from freshwater bodies of water, like this glass from Lake Ontario.

    The glass forms a smooth satin finish after being tossed around in the water, hitting the rocks for many years. The process takes much longer in the lake compared to the huge ocean waves therefore it can take 50 years or more to form a full satin finish.

    Wings and Feathers are inspiring symbols; they have special meanings to people all over the world. I think of Angels sent from God, symbols of Gods protection as written in the Bible:

 Psalm 91:4 “He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge;”
