Breast Plate of the High Priest Gemstone Necklace, Twelve Stones Breast Plate of Aron, Exodus 28:17, 12 Stones Bible Inspired Necklace

   I was inspired to create jewellery with the twelve stones used in the Breast Plate of the High Priest, (Breast Plate worn by the high priest /Breast Plate of Aaron)  from the Book of Exodus in the Bible (Exodus 28:17)

  God told Moses to make a breast plate set with twelve stones, three rows of four, set in gold, for his brother Aaron to use as the high Priest. Each stone was engraved with the names of the twelve tribes of Israel.

Exodus 28:17 Then mount four rows of precious stones on it. The first row shall be carnelian, chrysolite and beryl; 18 the second row shall be turquoise, lapis lazuli and emerald; 19 the third row shall be jacinth, agate and amethyst; 20 the fourth row shall be topaz, onyx and jasper. [b] Mount them in gold filigree settings. 21 There are to be twelve stones, one for each of the names of the sons of Israel, each engraved like a seal with the name of one of the twelve tribes.

   I carefully chose these 12 stones:  4mm Carnelian, 7.5mm oval Peridot, 6mm faceted emerald green Agate-dyed, 6mm Turquoise, 6mm Blue Lapis, 6mm Clear Rock Crystal, 5.5 Citrine, 6mm Blue Agate, 6mm Amethyst, 5mm Aquamarine, 6mm Faceted Onyx, 4mm Unikite Jasper

    I wire wrap each stone bead with Sterling silver wire and attached the gemstones to a sparkly chain (flat cable link) that that flows around the neck. The necklace fastens with a secure 10mm long lobster claw clasp

     This is an amazing handcrafted necklace with a wonderful story, lots of History, a great conversation piece!  It’s inspirational and unique. The multi color necklace is versatile and so easy to wear, perfect for any occasion.
