Blue Beach Glass Large Starfish Necklace

   I created this One of kind “OOAK” Ocean themed Necklace with all 925 Sterling Silver and a gorgeous piece of blue Beach Glass / Lake Ontario Glass, wire wrapped into a pendant (14mm x 12mm) with Sterling silver wire with a large Starfish pendant (25mm long)

    I used a single strand of Sterling Silver wire to wrap the Beach Glass to represent the eternal movement of water.

    The pendants dangle on an Italian Sterling Silver, Rolo Style chain. You can choose the length you like.

    The Sapphire or Cobalt Blue Beach Glass-Sea Glass is the rarest color found here on the shores of Lake Ontario so it’s very special. 

  I found this piece of glass on the beach while out for a walk with my husband. We live in Port Credit, Ontario on Lake Ontario. The glass was naturally polished in the surf.

  I did not drill or alter the glass, but, I securely wrapped it in sterling silver wire.

   Fresh water beach glass is rarer than Sea Glass, it takes longer to naturally polish in the surf because the lake usually has more gentle waves unless a storm makes is fierce, and without salt, it can take 50 years to produce that smooth satin finish. I don’t polish or cut the glass; it is just as we find it on the beach.

  This is an amazing “OOAK” One of a kind, Minimalist Necklace, it's delicate, yet the color is intense. It is not only beautiful, its also Eco friendlier made with beach glass, a found object and made in an Eco Friendly environment. The Beach glass is an Ethical alternative to a Sapphire or blue gemstone.
