A brilliant crystal encrusted pendant / clasp sits in the center of this elegant cork necklace made with genuine Portuguese Cork cord. The brilliant clear crystal encrusted magnetic clasp is rhodium plated silver tone metal, it is the focal pendant on the necklace.
I created two styles; one has natural cork cord and the second has a natural cork cord with some silver metallic splashed baked onto the cork.
This is a unique, modern, minimalist style Cork cord necklace. This style is easy to wear, it is perfect for any occasion, you can wear it every day and it is sparkly enough for special occasions.
The sparkly rhodium plated clasp pendant measures 9mm, the total length of the clasp is 15mm wide. The cork measures 5mm.
Cork: love using Portuguese cork in my designs because it is Beautiful, Durable, Waterproof, Sustainable, Eco Friendly and a wonderful Vegan Friendly alternative to leather.
The cork trees in Portugal are treated with great care and they can live up to 200 years. Cork is the outer layer of the tree; it is carefully harvested from the outside of the tree and then the tree is left for about 7 years or more to grow another thick layer of cork before it is harvested again. The cork is then used like leather to create wonderful products and to be sewn into the cords that I use in my jewellery.

BIRTHSTONE COLOR: Clear is the traditional April birthstone color. Green is the traditional May and August birthstone color. Brown is the traditional November birthstone color. Aqua blue is the traditional March birthstone. Sapphire blue / Cobalt blue is the traditional September birthstone.

- I am an Eco Conscious artist, I love nature, so I go out of my way to create my jewellery with the most Earth Friendly methods of construction possible.
- Many pieces are created with Eco Friendly, Sustainable, Upcycled, Repurposed, Pre-loved Vintage Gemstones, broken jewellery materials, and found items like local beach glass.
- I create every piece by hand,
using mainly hand tools, natural light whenever possible and non toxic polishes and glues, etc with rare exceptions. I use many things from my kitchen to clean, polish and oxidize my jewellery.
- I use Eco Friendly, Sustainable packaging and shipping materials and we usually walk to the post office or take public transit to ship packages, further reducing my carbon footprint.
